Hallelujah?

Hooray! My breastplate is finished! Well, the front of it is, anyway. Actually, there is still a lot more riveting to be done. But the shape is there and it’s all held together and “functional”. It was a classic case of making things up as you go along, and there were quite a few panic moments where I thought that I had measured wrong or that things weren’t going to fit. But if there’s one thing that I learned from this project, it’s to trust your instincts and to go for it. Otherwise, you’ll just be constantly second-guessing yourself, making mistakes, and never have the guts to finish what you started. So what if the rivets are a little uneven? The important thing is that I did it…
*breathes a sigh of relief*
And now… snaps and backplate. Cosplay chess might still be a reality, yet! ^.^
